Zach Vanhouten

Zach VanHouten has a diverse background in digital communications and program management. From 2018 to the present, they have worked at People For the American Way, starting as a Digital Communications Coordinator and progressing to become the Digital Communications Manager and currently as the Director of Digital Communications. Prior to this, they worked at the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education from 2011 to 2018, where they held several roles including Program Coordinator and Manager of Programs & Advocacy. Additionally, Zach has experience in higher education, specifically at Grand Valley State University, where they served as a Staff Assistant from 2008 to 2010. Throughout their career, Zach has developed skills in online advocacy, managing partnerships, producing reports, and overseeing budgets.

Zach VanHouten obtained their high school diploma from Wayland Union in the year 2005. Zach then pursued higher education at Grand Valley State University from 2005 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. During their time at Grand Valley State University, Zach focused on the fields of Political Science and Women & Gender Studies.
