Sanchita Neupane

Sanchita Neupane is an experienced professional in disaster risk reduction and civil engineering, currently serving as the ECHO DRR Program Manager at People in Need since July 2022. Prior to this role, Sanchita worked as a School Safety Expert at Oxford Policy Management from January 2020 to July 2022, and held the position of Construction Project Manager at NIVAS from January 2019 to July 2022. Additional experience includes project management at Youth Innovation Lab and roles as a DRR Researcher at Practical Action Consulting. Earlier in the career, Sanchita gained practical engineering experience as a Civil Engineer at Rural Access Programme 3 and Makalu Developers, along with internships at Arun Valley Hydropower Development Co. Ltd and South Asia Engineering (P.) LTD. Sanchita holds a Master’s degree in Risk and Environmental Hazards from Durham University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus.
