Joe Kabalan

Joe Kabalan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in external engagement and protocol management. Currently serving as the Director of External Engagement and Events, as well as the Director of Stakeholder Relations and Engagement at Monash University since October 2016, Joe leads initiatives that align with the strategic objectives of the institution. Joe's background includes roles as Transit Protocol Officer for both the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, facilitating high-profile international visits. Additionally, Joe has held strategic positions such as Manager of Strategic Program at the Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General and Program Coordinator for the Global Executive MBA at the University of Sydney Business School. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management & Industrial Relations from RMIT University, a Graduate Certificate in Management from Macquarie University, a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, and participation in Harvard Business School's High Potentials Leadership Program.
