Shilpi Chhotray

Shilpi Chhotray is currently the Cofounder and President at People over Plastic, a media platform focused on environmental and racial justice conversations. Prior to this, Shilpi worked as the Global Communications Lead at Break Free From Plastic, founded Samudra Skin & Sea, and served in various roles at organizations such as Mission Blue, Future 500, and the Seaweed Industry Association. Shilpi holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy and Planning from Virginia Tech and a Master of Earth and Environmental Resources Management with a focus on Marine Science and Policy from the University of South Carolina.
