Ashley Mateus

Ashley Mateus, PhD, currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at People Science, collaborating with Co-CEOs on business operations and strategic initiatives since May 2024. Prior to this role, Ashley held various leadership positions at Akili Interactive from January 2015 to May 2024, including Vice President, where responsibilities encompassed program management, strategic planning, and market strategy. Achievements include successful completion of a clinical trial and strategic alignment during the company’s expansion to a public entity. Earlier experience includes research as a PhD student at the Harvard MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, alongside internships in product development and engineering at various medical technology companies. Educational credentials comprise a PhD in Medical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge.
