Douglas started their career in 2008 as an IT Resourcer for Genesis IT&T, where they primarily focused on recruiting candidates for various SAP positions. In 2010, they transitioned to the role of SAP Candidate Manager, assisting a team of Senior SAP Consultants in the recruitment process. Douglas worked at Genesis IT&T until 2014.

In 2014, Douglas joined Acuity Search The SAP Recruitment Experts as an SAP 360 Recruitment Consultant/Account Manager. Douglas specialized in recruiting SAP professionals and providing support and advice to both job seekers and employers.

At the same time, they also joined Peoplebank, where they initially served as an IT Account Manager within the commercial team.
