Yiorgos Kalogrias

Yiorgos Kalogrias has a wide range of work experience across different industries. Yiorgos is currently employed as the Head of Accounting at PeopleCert since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Accountant in the Accounting & Finance Department at PeopleCert from October 2020 to March 2023.

Before joining PeopleCert, Yiorgos worked as a Group Accountant at ARISTA SHIPPING from June 2019 to May 2020. In this role, they were responsible for various tasks including preparing Group Consolidated Financial Statements, supporting the month-end and year-end closing process, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Yiorgos also gained valuable experience at KPMG Greece, where they worked as an Audit Senior from April 2015 to May 2019. Their responsibilities included conducting financial audits for local and multinational firms, as well as reviewing compliance with Greek Law and International Accounting Standards.

Yiorgos has also worked as a Business Consultant-Health Audit at KPMG for a short period in 2014. Yiorgos was previously involved in the Presidential Guard of the Hellenic Army from November 2012 to August 2013.

Yiorgos' early career includes a role as a Direct Sales representative at Citi from October 2008 to March 2009.

Throughout their career, Yiorgos has showcased their expertise in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and compliance.

Yiorgos Kalogrias obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Athens University of Economics and Business, from the years 2007 to 2012. Yiorgos later pursued a Master's degree in Auditing, Tax, and Accounting from the Institute of Certified Public Auditors-Accountants of Greece starting in 2016. Yiorgos also attended the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) but did not specify a degree or field of study. Additionally, Yiorgos Kalogrias holds certifications such as DELF-Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française (A1-A4), obtained from the Ministère chargé de l'Éducation nationale, and Proficiency in English obtained from the University of Michigan.
