Nathan Sheard

Nathan Sheard possesses extensive experience in organizational leadership, advocacy, and promotion. Currently serving as Managing Director at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) since September 2017, Nathan has also held the roles of Deputy Managing Director and Organizing Director within the organization. As Co-Founder and Director of Training and Community Engagement at the Black Movement Law Project from June 2015 to March 2023, Nathan developed legal support infrastructure across multiple cities. Previous experience includes core organizing roles at Just Info, senior associate work at Citi Habitats, and promotions management at prominent music labels such as Virgin Records, Sony Music Entertainment, and Epic Records. Nathan's career began in government relations, working as a Government Relations Assistant at the Greater New York Health Care Facility Association. Educational background includes studies at Hunter College and Stony Brook University.
