McKenna Dunbar

Fellow: Young Climate Leaders Of Color(yclc) Cohort at People's Climate Innovation Center

McKenna Dunbar is currently the Building Electrification Lead at the Sierra Club, where responsibilities include lobbying and developing policy recommendations for electrification and clean energy initiatives. In addition to this role, McKenna serves as an Expert Panelist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and holds positions as Board of Director and Membership Chair for the Virginia Energy Efficiency Council and Member of the Board of Directors at Slipstream and the Sustainable Development Fund. McKenna is also an inaugural fellow for the Generation of Environmental Leaders Program at the Commission for Environmental Cooperation, a fellow in the Young Climate Leaders of Color cohort at the People's Climate Innovation Center, and a Future Climate Leader Fellow at The Aspen Institute. McKenna's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from the University of Richmond and various summer research programs at institutions such as Howard University and Brandeis University.
