Cynthia Minor has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Cynthia started their career as a Staff Registered Nurse at Charity Hospital, where they provided total patient care in labor, delivery, and recovery. Cynthia also gained experience in various procedures such as c/sections, hysterectomies, tubal ligation, and cerclages. After working at Charity Hospital for five years, they joined Tulane-Lakeside Hospital as a Clinical Supervisor. Cynthia held this position for 15 years before transitioning to an Associate Professor role at Delgado-Charity School of Nursing. Cynthia taught nursing students for almost a decade before joining Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans as a Maternal-Child Nurse. Cynthia Minor has a diverse education history. Cynthia obtained their High School Diploma from Booker T. Washington Sr. High School in 1978. Later, they attended Dillard University from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Continuing their education, Cynthia attended Charity School of Nursing from 1985 to 1987, where they received their Diploma in Nursing. In 2007, they enrolled in Loyola University New Orleans and completed the Bridge Program-BSN to MSN, further specializing in Nursing. Cynthia also pursued higher education at Walden University from 2010 to 2018, where they earned a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Higher Education and Adult Learning. Additionally, in 2017, they attended NORTHSHORE TECHNICAL COLLEGE, completing a program in Legal Nurse Consulting.
