Russell Davis

Resident Playwright at People's Light

Russell Davis is a resident playwright at People's Light & Theatre since 2000, with extensive experience as a juggler and circus workshop leader for the Big Apple Circus program in Harlem since May 1983. Davis has contributed to theater as a faculty member for the MFA program in playwriting/screenwriting at the New Hampshire Institute of Art from June 2013 to June 2019. A versatile writer, Davis's plays have been published by Broadway Play Publishing between 2003 and 2014, including notable works such as "Appointment with a High Wire Lady" and "The Last Good Moment of Lily Baker." Additionally, Davis's monologues and scenes have been featured in various collections published by Smith & Kraus from 1992 to 2010. Educational background includes a BA in English from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, earned between 1967 and 1971.
