Marcella Baca-Semones is a seasoned professional in human resources and people operations with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Global People Operations at Coursera, Marcella has previously held positions including Senior Manager of People Operations at Instacart and Senior Manager of Global People Operations at New Relic, Inc. Additionally, Marcella has provided advisory support at PeopleTech Partners and started their career as a Senior Human Resources Representative at Thermo Fisher Scientific (formerly Affymetrix). Marcella holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Ethnic Studies and Sociology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
