Joyce Harant

Joyce Harant is an experienced professional with a diverse background in health care leadership, community advocacy, and consulting. As a Trustee for the Central District of the Peoria Park District since June 2017, Joyce Harant is involved in governance, planning, and public representation to enhance park district programs and services. In addition, Joyce Harant has operated Joyce Harant Consulting Service since January 2009 and serves as the Managing Member of Community Word LLC, an independent newspaper in Peoria, since September 2014. Previously, as President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Heart of Illinois from October 1979 to February 2008, Joyce Harant led women's reproductive health initiatives and advocacy efforts across three health centers. Joyce Harant holds a B.S. in Physiology and Chemistry, an M.S. in Community Health, and was a Fellow in the Public Health Fellow Leadership Program at the University of Illinois.
