Iaai-Fit Nathan Bernier

Nathan Bernier, IAAI-FIT, currently serves as an Investigator at the Office of Maine State Fire Marshal since August 2024, following a diverse career in emergency services and law enforcement. Bernier has been a Firefighter and EMT-B for the Oakland Maine Fire Rescue Department since July 2012, specializing as an SCBA Technician and instructor. As the Owner and Installation Specialist of BuzzBern's Heat Pump Services LLC since August 2021, Bernier is recognized for expertise in Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pump technology. Prior roles include Patrol Officer for the City of Waterville and Town of Oakland, and various positions in security and fire rescue. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Psychology from Thomas College and multiple certifications in law enforcement and emergency medical services.
