Agustina Besada

Agustina Besada is the Co-Founder and CEO of Unplastify, a social enterprise dedicated to minimizing disposable plastic use by transforming habits and operations. Currently a Professor at Pepperdine University, Besada also serves as a Fellow at Ashoka, promoting social entrepreneurship. As an Explorer for National Geographic, Besada contributes to environmental storytelling and conservation efforts. In the role of Director of Circular Economy at Asociación Sustentar, Besada advocates for sustainable development in Latin America. Active within the LEDS LAC Platform as the Resource Efficiency Working Group Coordinator, Besada facilitates collaboration on low emission development strategies. Previous leadership roles include Executive Director at Sure We Can and CEC NY Organizer for the Circular Economy Club. Besada holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor in Industrial Design from Universidad de Palermo.
