Atul Deshpande Ph.d.

Atul Deshpande has an extensive work experience spanning various roles in the life sciences industry. Atul is currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Peptilogics. Before that, they were the CEO and Board Member at IMMEDIATE Therapeutics. From 2019 to 2021, Atul held the position of Chief Strategy Officer and Head of US Operations at HARBOUR BIOMED, where they played a crucial role in developing and executing corporate strategic initiatives.

Prior to that, Atul worked at Sanofi Genzyme from 2012 to 2018, holding various roles including Sr. Director and Global Dupixent Franchise Operations Head, Director of UMO, Immunology and Inflammation Development Franchise, Director of Global Project Management, and Associate Director - Unit Strategy Officer, Asia Pacific TSU. At Sanofi Genzyme, they led cross-functional teams, developed launch strategies, managed budgets, and ensured successful registration and commercialization of assets.

Before joining Sanofi Genzyme, Atul worked as a Consultant and Project Manager at Deallus Group, where they provided competitive intelligence and strategy consulting services to corporate decision-makers. Atul also founded and directed InnoStrats Consulting, a boutique life science consulting firm specializing in innovation management and strategy.

Atul's earlier experience includes working as a Contract Consultant at Reuters Insight and Guidepoint Global Advisors, where they provided customized research and access to industry experts for decision-makers. Atul also worked as a Post-doctoral Scholar in Medicine at UCLA, overseeing project activities and leading a team of researchers.

Atul holds a Ph.D. and an MBA degree, and they are also certified as an Associate Project Management Professional (A-PMP).

Atul Deshpande has an extensive education background. Atul completed their high school education at Saraswati Education Society's High School and Junior College between 1989 and 1997. Atul then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Biotechnology at R. Ruia College, Mumbai from 1997 to 2000. Following this, they achieved a Master's degree in Life-Science and Neuroscience from the University of Mumbai during the years 2000 to 2002.

To further their education, Atul Deshpande enrolled at UC Irvine where they completed their Ph.D. in Neurobiology and Behavior from 2003 to 2007. Later, in 2009, they attended Cranfield School of Management and obtained an MBA in Business Administration.
