Anton Dormer, MD, MS

Chief Scientific Officer at PepVax

Anton Dormer, MD, MS has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Anton is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of BioLabShare, LLC since October 2019. Prior to this, they founded PepVax in 2013 and held the position of Chief Scientific Officer. In this role, they were responsible for designing and guiding the company's lead products through preclinical and clinical trials, as well as directing the company's research focus and scientific collaborations.

Starting from April 2018, Anton Dormer has also been working as a Visiting Research Scientist and Professor at Bowie State University. Anton has contributed significantly to the field of bioresearch and science education as the President and Co-Founder of Semple-Dormer BioInstitute, Inc. (SDBI), formerly known as Dormer-Owusu BioInstitute, Inc. (DOBI), since August 2004.

Furthermore, they have held the positions of Chairman and CSO at Immage Biotherapeutics from May 2015 to April 2017. During this time, they focused on the development of a DNA viral vaccine construct for treating cancers. In addition to their private sector roles, Anton Dormer has also made significant contributions in academia. Anton served as a Professor at Washington Adventist University from January 2010 to June 2014, where they also coordinated the Bioinformatics Interdisciplinary Program. Before that, they worked as a Professor at Atlantic Union College from July 2006 to December 2009, teaching various biology courses and supporting student research in plant genomics and bioinformatics.

Anton Dormer, MD, MS completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Oakwood University from 1983 to 1987. Anton then went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from UTESA School of Medicine between 1987 and 1992. Anton continued their education at UMass Boston, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences from 2000 to 2006.
