Michael Hylkema

Michael Hylkema, CISSP, serves as a Principal Security Engineer at Peraton Labs, bringing expertise in security assessments for Smart Grid, ICS/SCADA, and Critical Infrastructure. With a career spanning over two decades, Michael has managed large-scale vulnerability assessments, led federal security research projects, and developed custom analysis tools. Prior experience includes roles at the Department of Defense, where exceptional service was recognized with awards, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Boston University, focusing on digital collaboration in education and computer security. Michael's educational qualifications include two Master's degrees from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
