Pavitra Jain

Pavitra Jain has over 14 years of work experience in the field of software testing and automation. They started their career as an Associate Software Engineer at W H Smith, where they developed scripts for the W H Smith retail site and automated operational processes.

After that, Pavitra worked as a Software Test Engineer at ETS, where they were responsible for testing various e-Learning applications, such as STAR, STAR Web, and TOEFL. They performed manual testing, developed detailed test cases based on system functional requirements, and used tools like Silk Central and Silk Test for test management and defect tracking.

At Accenture, Pavitra held the role of Test Engineer Specialist for the eREG project, an e-Commerce web application. They collaborated with different stakeholders to translate requirements into solution architecture designs and reviewed requirements for design improvements.

Later, Pavitra worked as a Senior Software Test Engineer at ETS, focusing on K-12 Applications. They interacted with business managers to understand the functionality of the applications and developed detailed test cases. They also performed functional, integration, regression, and system testing.

At Qualitest, Pavitra was an Automation Test Lead for multiple projects. They customized the Serenity BDD framework for various clients, developed manual and automation test suites for web and API testing, and built the Qualitest BDD Framework.

Before joining their current role as QA Lead at Percent, Pavitra worked as an Automation Test Lead at EPAM Systems. They led the test automation efforts for the UMA project, which involved developing manual and automation test suites for web and REST services.

Throughout their career, Pavitra has gained expertise in various testing tools and technologies, including Selenium, Serenity BDD, RestAssured, Jenkins, and GitHub. They have worked in domains such as financial services, e-commerce, and e-learning.

Pavitra Jain completed their Higher Secondary education at Lokmanya Vidya Niketan in Indore, India from 1988 to 2004. Pavitra then attended Medicaps Institute of Technology and Management in Indore, India, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics & Communication from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, Pavitra Jain has obtained certifications in ISTQB from ISTQB and TOSCA - Automation Specialist 1 and Automation Specialist 2 from TOSCA, although specific dates of completion are not provided.
