J. Patrick Forden has a long and varied career in the digital industry. J. Patrick started their career in 1987 as a photojournalist for the Reno Gazette-Journal and Freelance Editorial and Commercial. In 1993, they became the CEO of PERCEPTICON corporation, an innovator of global Internet products, services, and application technology. In 1998, they co-founded IFILM, a website where users could upload, share and view videos. In 2000, they became the CEO of JTransit, Inc., a company that provided compilers, runtime libraries (JAR files) and utilities for converting, deploying, testing and monitoring web applications. In 2006, they co-founded Nowville, a pioneering business and social networking platform for local merchants and service professionals. In 1996, they were the Senior Art Director for the "24 Hours In Cyberspace" project, an unprecedented one-day event that brought together the world's top photographers, editors, programmers, and interactive designers to create a digital time capsule of online life. In 2013, they became the CTO of Keith Design Group, a brand development and creative design agency.

J. Patrick Forden received their Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Photojournalism from California State University, Fresno in 1987. In 1989, they attended The Eddie Adams Workshop.
