Ben Schellenberg has had a varied work experience in the field of aeronautical engineering. In 2020, they began working as an Aerial Robotics Engineer at Perceptual Robotics. From 2013-2020, they worked at the University of Bristol in various roles, including PhD Student, Research Associate, Senior Resident of Badock Hall, Student Admissions Advisor, and Summer Research Assistant. In 2011, they worked as a Volunteer for the University of Bristol's Faculty Wind Powered Vehicle Project. In 2012, they were an Assistant Mechanic at AKKI Aviation Services Ltd.

Ben Schellenberg attended the Royal Latin School from 2007 to 2012. Ben then pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering with Study Abroad at the University of Bristol from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they also completed an Exchange Year (3rd year) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at the University of California, Davis from 2014 to 2015.
