Eirini Karachaliou

Eirini Karachaliou has had a diverse work experience. In 2013, they shadowed medical staff at Evangelismos Hospital in Athens and the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, gaining insight into the Greek and UK NHS. In 2016, they were a Summer Research Intern at the University Mental Health Research Institute (UMHRI) where they participated in the design and implementation of a series of experiments concerning the estimation and perception of time. In 2019, they returned to UMHRI as a Research Assistant and in the same year they were a Clerical and Service Assistant at Melissaki Villas Luxury Apartments. In 2020, they were promoted to Assistant Manager at Melissaki Villas Luxury Apartments, where they were responsible for bookings, front desk, clerical duties, social media management and garden maintenance. Eirini also developed a protocol for the smooth operation of the business, compliant with the regulations suggested by the Greek Ministry of Health and TUV Austria. In 2022, they will be an Office Manager at Perceptual Robotics.

Eirini Karachaliou completed a Bachelor's degree in Medical Neuroscience from the University of Sussex in 2017, followed by a Master's degree in Robotics and Autonomous Systems from the same university in 2018. Prior to that, they completed an IB Diploma from The Moraitis School in 2014.
