Marty Casey has worked in the software industry since 1992. Marty began their career at Lotus Development as a Principle Engineer and Client Liaison, where they were responsible for the design and development of the Add-in Development Kit (ADK) for 1-2-3 for Windows, as well as adding new features to 1-2-3 for Windows using the ADK. Marty also provided support for Lotus' top 10 clients, including training of client development staff, writing custom programs, and onsite support as needed. In 1995, they became the CTO/Owner of IO Services, Inc., where they designed and developed the Compliance Assistant product for real-time EPA field monitoring using .Net and SQL Server, and was awarded U.S. Patent 8,413,039. In 1998, they worked as a Contract Software Architect/Software Manager for Hewlett-Packard, where they were responsible for the architecture of a Windows-based client/server application for HP's Navigator hardware and NOS installation product. In 2000, they worked as a Software Manager/Architect for Xbridge Systems, managing an onsite and remote development staff of 6-15 people across the U.S., Eastern Canada, Philippines, and India. From 2001-2014, they were an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Sheridan College and a Teacher for UC Berkeley Extension Corporate and Professional Programs. Since 2016, they have been a Software Manager at Peregrine Global Services, where they are accountable for managing a team, processes, and projects to deliver software releases, as well as managing day-to-day operations for a fully distributed team of 4-6 full time developers.

Marty Casey attended Boston University from 1981 to 1983. Marty then transferred to the University of Southern Maine, where they earned a BS in Math and Computer Science between 1983 and 1985.
