PJ Pereira

Founder & Creative Chairman at Pereira & O'Dell

PJ Pereira is the founder and creative chairman of Pereira & O'Dell, an advertising agency based in San Francisco. PJ is also the author of the best-selling book trilogy Deuses de Dois Mundos (Gods of Both Worlds), which was launched in Brazil and Portugal in 2014.

Pereira began their career in advertising as a copywriter at Ad Council, where they worked on campaigns for clients such as the United Way and the American Red Cross. PJ then left Ad Council to pursue their dream of becoming a novelist, and self-published their first book, Deuses de Dois Mundos, in Brazil in 2013. The book was an instant success, selling over 100,000 copies in its first year and spawning two sequels. It was also named one of the best new fantasy, horror, and science fiction books of 2014 by Brazilian media outlets.

In 2015, Pereira returned to the advertising world when they founded Pereira & O'Dell with their partner Andrew O'Dell. The agency quickly made a name for itself with its innovative campaigns for clients such as Intel, eBay, and Google. In 2016, Pereira was inducted into the One Club's Board of Directors, where they have served ever since.

PJ Pereira reports to Andrew O'Dell, Founder & CEO. PJ Pereira works with Chloe Flavin - Senior Project Manager, Damara Dikeou - Social Strategy Group Director, and Rebecca Nañez - Studio Manager.
