Andrew Boyd, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience in the field of sustainability. Andrew is currently serving as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Perfetti Van Melle starting from October 2020. Prior to this role, they worked as a Sustainability Consultant, providing insights and recommendations on sustainability strategies and environmental programs to multi-sector clients. Andrew held this position from September 2019 to October 2020 while being self-employed.
From 2013 to 2019, Andrew worked at Mondelēz International as the Environment & Sustainability Global Director. In this role, they created and delivered a five-year sustainability strategy across product supply chains, achieving external corporate goals one year ahead of schedule in 2019.
Before joining Mondelēz International, Andrew held various roles at Unilever from 1997 to 2013. Andrew served as the Environmental Sustainability Leader and Strategic Planning Leader in the Global Supply Chain, and as a Supply Chain Manager in Global Technology. Andrew also worked as a Project Manager in R&D.
Andrew's career journey began with a Postdoctoral Fellowship at CNRS - Université de Bordeaux from 1993 to 1997.
Andrew Boyd holds a D.Phil. in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. Andrew also earned an Executive MBA from the Alliance Manchester Business School. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde. Andrew attended Falkirk High School, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
