Burcu Yuksel

Burcu Yuksel is an experienced art professional currently serving as the Director of GAIA ART FOUNDATION since October 2017. Yuksel has been an art critic for AICA Turkey since 2011 and has contributed to Performa as a Special Projects member since 2010. Previously, Yuksel held the position of Director at Derek Johns Ltd from August 2008 to March 2017 and worked as a Curatorial Assistant for the Busan Biennial in 2007-2008. An internship at the Guggenheim Museum from 2006 to 2008 focused on exhibition management and business development. Yuksel's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Visual Arts Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Economics, and Business from Brandeis University, alongside foundational education at Robert College.
