Helen VanScoy

Director, VUI Design at Performance Technology Partners (PTP)

Helen VanScoy has extensive work experience in the field of VUI design, user interface engineering, and language consulting. Helen began their career as a Spanish instructor at the University of Texas at Austin and later worked as a Spanish linguistics consultant and UI designer at SBC Technology Resources, Inc. Helen also worked as a language consultant and VUI designer at AT&T Labs. Helen then joined Speechworks, Inc. as a user interface engineer, where they focused on VUI design, human factors, usability, and prompt production. ScanSoft, Inc. later acquired Speechworks, Inc., and Helen continued their role as a sr. user interface engineer at ScanSoft. Helen also worked as a senior UI designer and user interface designer at Nuance Communications during the same period. Finally, they joined PTP as a director of VUI design in 2005.

Helen VanScoy's education history begins with their attending NMB High School. The specific years of their high school education are not provided.
