Phil Nussbaum

Co-Founder at Performance Trust

Phil is one of the founding members and partners of Performance Trust. His passion is to help bankers apply a disciplined, well-quantified decision-making process for evaluating the risk versus reward trade-offs of bank cash flows. As a featured speaker and writer for banking programs and publications around the country, he focuses on how banks can excel at the finance of banking.

Prior to joining Performance Trust in 1994, Phil was a Vice President at Clayton Brown & Associates, where he also served as the managing editor of The Bank Portfolio Manager®. Before that, he was a senior examiner with the Financial Markets Unit of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, where he specialized in bank investment portfolios, asset/liability management, and off-balance sheet derivative trading.

Phil graduated with high honors from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. He has an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago.
