Jānis Šmits

Jānis Šmits is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing and directing business operations across various sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at PERI since October 2023, Jānis previously held the same title at Nuvalo Latvia, focusing on reactivating sales and building a customer base. Prior roles include Managing Director at BE Group AB, where involvement in a merger with BE Group OU was pivotal, and a decade at Würth Group, overseeing strategic management and a sizable team. Jānis's career also features leadership positions at Ferrometal Oy and technical sales at Hilti Group. Academically, Jānis holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Latvia.
