Mariel Mendez

Mariel Mendez, MPH, is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in community health management, research program management, and health education. Currently serving as a Program Officer at Perigee Fund since August 2019, Mariel previously held roles at Harvard Medical School, where responsibilities included managing community health initiatives. Prior experience includes managing multiple public health projects at Rutgers University, educating families on health and nutrition at Harlem Children's Zone, and conducting research in mental health and school health programs in Brazil and internationally. Mariel holds a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University, highlighting expertise in sociomedical sciences, psychology, and Latin American studies.
