Dave Welbourn

Dave Welbourn, CFRE, currently serves as the Director of Strategic Philanthropy at the Perimeter Institute, collaborating with leading physicists to further the organization's mission since May 2023. Prior to this role, Dave held various positions at the Humber River Hospital Foundation from 2015 to 2023, including Associate Director of Development, where engagement with leadership and major donors was key to supporting a premier healthcare facility. Earlier experience at the Canadian Cancer Society from 2011 to 2015 involved roles such as Development Associate and Prospect Research Analyst, focusing on major gift donor cultivation and prospect research. Dave holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Fundraising and Volunteer Management from Humber College and a degree in Humanities (History) from McMaster University.
