Robin Richardson

Robin Richardson has a diverse work history in the media and marketing industry. They started their career as a Director/Production intern at WTVR-CBS6, where they gained experience in coding, directing newscasts, and working with various production teams. They also served as a Videographer/Marketing Assistant for Virginia Commonwealth University's Recreational Sports, where they recorded, edited, and produced promotional videos.

Robin then joined VCU InSight as a Student Director/Technical Director/Audio Engineer, contributing to a TV news program. They continued to develop their technical skills and gained hands-on experience in broadcast news production.

Afterward, they worked as a Director at WTVR-TV, CBS6 & Virginia This Morning, where they directed newscasts and a talk show. In this role, they were responsible for blocking camera shots, coding shows, and providing cues to production assistants and producers.

Robin also interned at McGarrah Jessee as an MAIP Art Direction Intern, where they gained exposure to art direction within the marketing industry. They participated in the Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP) through the 4A's foundation, which connects diverse talent to the marketing industry.

Additionally, Robin freelanced as a Camera Operator for Virginia Commonwealth University's Athletes media department. They operated cameras at various sporting events, assisted in equipment setup and breakdown, and edited clips for social media and video creation.

Robin Richardson's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Broadcast Journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University, which was earned between the years 2011 and 2015. After completing their undergraduate studies, Robin pursued a Master's degree in Business/Branding with a concentration in Art Direction at the VCU Brandcenter.
