Michele Crews has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in human resources and consulting. Michele started their career in 1983 as a Business Development professional at Richardson Smith before transitioning into HR roles. From 1992 to 1999, they worked in Human Resources at GeoPartners Research, Inc. Michele then served as the Director of Human Resources at Renaissance Worldwide, Inc., Business Strategy Group from 1999 to 2000, where they worked extensively with employment contracts, immigration, and MBA recruiting. Michele continued their HR career as the Director of Human Resources at Renaissance Worldwide, Inc., GovConnect.com from 2000 to 2001. Following this, Michele had a self-employed stint as an HR Consultant from 2001 to 2007, offering organizational and business consulting services to clients such as MIT, Genzyme Corporation, and Sentinel Benefits Group. Michele then held the role of Director of Human Resources at Wheelock College for over a decade, overseeing all aspects of employee policies and providing day-to-day problem solving. In addition, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Suffolk University for a few months in 2018 before joining Perkins School for the Blind as the Director of Human Resources, where they currently hold this position.
Michele Crews received a Certificate in Trained Mediator after completing forty hours of mediation training at MWI, Boston Mediation Training in 2013. Michele also obtained a Certificate in Counseling from the Gestalt Institute of New England between 1998 and 2000. Michele's education history also includes a Masters of Management in Human Resources and Business Management from Cambridge College, earned from 1992 to 1995.
