Amina Helstern is a Senior Regenerative Design Advisor and Associate Principal at Perkins&Will, where responsibilities include leading the Chicago Studio's regenerative design initiatives and overseeing projects focused on high-performance energy analysis, material research, and resilience. With a strong background in project management, Amina has managed affordable housing projects in the Chicagoland area and has actively contributed to sustainability efforts within the firm as the Sustainability Leader for the Chicago Studio. Amina is involved in various firmwide initiatives, including the Living Design Leadership Council and the Affordable Housing Task Force, and has played a significant role in research and development efforts that enhance design equity and health. Amina's previous experience includes roles in architecture and landscape design across multiple companies, complemented by degrees from the University of Illinois Chicago and Arizona State University.
