Joelle Jefcoat

Joelle Jefcoat, FAIA, Esq. serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Perkins&Will, where a diverse background in architecture and project management complements a robust legal career. With over two decades of experience, Joelle has occupied various roles within Perkins&Will, contributing to complex educational and commercial projects. Notably, Joelle transitioned to the Legal Department as Associate General Counsel in 2012, drawing on extensive project management experience to address the practical challenges faced by architectural teams. In addition to a successful career in design and law, Joelle is actively involved in academia as a Lecturer in Architecture at Harvard University Graduate School of Design and has previously taught at UNC Charlotte. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctorate from Charlotte School of Law and advanced degrees in architecture from the University of Virginia and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
