Amanda Downs

Amanda Downs is an experienced professional in the field of chemistry, currently serving as a Trade Compliance Specialist II at ChampionX since November 2022. Previously, Amanda held significant roles at Nalco Water and Nalco Champion, including Principal Chemist and Downstream R&D Chemist, contributing to research and development within the company from May 2018 to November 2022. Prior experience includes positions as an RDD Scientist at Baker Hughes, where Amanda was responsible for various testing methodologies, and as a Chemist at Champion Technologies and Stillmeadow Inc., where Amanda worked extensively with analytical instrumentation. Amanda began the career as a Laboratory Technician at Albemarle and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Houston-Downtown.
