Michael A. Grosso M.D.

Michael A. Grosso MD, FACS serves as the Vice President and Global Head of Clinical Development for Specialty Medicine at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., a position held since December 2010. Previously, Michael has held various roles within the company, including Head of Specialty Medicine Clinical Development and Executive Director of Cardiovascular Clinical Development. Michael is also an Advisory Board Member at Perosphere Technologies since May 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Director and Medical Advisor for Cardio/Thrombosis at sanofi-aventis and as a Research Associate Professor and Senior Director IRB at the University of Pennsylvania. Michael's surgical expertise was developed at UMDNJ/Cooper University and Deborah Heart and Lung Center, where Michael worked as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon from 1993 to 2004. Michael's education includes an MD from the University of Pennsylvania as well as a BS in Biology from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
