Pablo Salvador Valera Sapena

PHD Student at CIC bioGUNE

Pablo Salvador Valera Sapena is a Postdoctoral Researcher at CIC biomaGUNE, specializing in the analysis of cancer biomarkers in complex tissue through surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy. Previously, Pablo served as a PhD Student at both CIC biomaGUNE and CIC bioGUNE, focusing on the same research topic. Pablo also contributed as a Visiting Researcher at CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials during a three-month PhD phase and conducted a master's thesis at Cima Universidad de Navarra under the guidance of Dr. Borja Sáez. Additionally, Pablo completed an Erasmus+ Traineeship at University College Dublin, engaging in research on mycobacterial protein interactions. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Applied Chemistry and Polymer Materials from Universidad del País Vasco, a Master of Science in Biomedical Research with a cancer specialization from the University of Navarra, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Universidad de Granada.
