Outreach Educator at Perot Museum

Amanda Maceda is an accomplished Outreach Educator at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science since March 2023, with prior experience as a Video Editor at UTD Geoscience Studio from May 2022 to May 2024, where responsibilities included narrative drafting, storyboarding, and video production. Amanda also served as a Teacher at DeBusk Enrichment Center of Texas from June 2018 to July 2023 and was actively involved in Radio UTD between November 2017 and January 2023, holding positions such as Station Manager and Programming Director, while contributing as a DJ, talk show host, music journalist, and video editor. Additionally, Amanda conducted undergraduate research at The University of Texas at Dallas from August 2021 to December 2022, focusing on Metal Organic Frameworks under PhD candidate Muhammad Abbas, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Minor in Geology from the University. Educational background includes graduating from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts in 2017.
