Afonso Matsura

Afonso Matsura has a strong background in the chemical industry, with significant experience in new business development and market expansion. Afonso began their career at Essencis Remediação as a Chemical Engineer from May 2003 to October 2005. Afonso then joined Peróxidos do Brasil - Solvay as an Account Manager, where they managed a portfolio of approximately BRL 60MM in revenue from November 2005 to August 2012. Afonso then moved to FMC as the New Markets Coordinator and Business Strategy Manager from August 2012 to February 2014. Afonso'scurrent role is with PeroxyChem since March 2014 as the Head of New Business & New Markets (Mercosur), where they are responsible for regional strategic planning, market intelligence, customer prospecting and management, strategic project development, and cross-functional collaboration. Afonso reports directly to the company's headquarters in the United States.

Afonso Matsura obtained their MBA in Business Management from Columbia University in 2014 through their MBA International Extension program. From 2012 to 2014, they attended FIA Business School, where they earned another MBA degree in Business Management. Prior to that, they studied at USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 1999 to 2003 and received a Degree in Chemical Engineering.
