Miguel Cabañas Monseco

Miguel Cabañas Monseco has been working in the technology field since 2003. Miguel began their career as a Student Job at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, where they built panels to test embedded systems and assembled computers for a lab and set up the network. In 2005, they joined Tecnalis Solution Providers as a Java/Linux Consultant, where they were in charge of developing an OSGI platform using Prosyst mPRM for Telefonica de España, migrating the old mPRM prosyst platform to the new one, and integrating MS Sharepoint services in the platform. In 2007, they joined Moviquity (Telefonica I+D partner) as an R&D Engineer, where they were in charge of different research and development projects, including the important eCar project for Movistar and SEAT. In 2011, they joined Persei Consulting as the CTO, where they were in charge of the technology strategy, client management, and coordination of the IT department and communications with operations and financial departments. Miguel also was responsible for reorganizing the company, analyzing the company processes to get a fine tuning of the quality and time to market of the projects, and restructuring the company system architecture and the IT Team. Since 2016, they have been the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Persei vivarium (digital health), where they are in charge of the development, maintenance, and evolution of the digital healthcare products as well as the technological strategy of the company. Miguel is also responsible for IT security system architecture and software development to ensure clinical data secure storage, and boosting clinical research in different pathologies by leveraging results and insights from real world data (RWD).

Miguel Cabañas Monseco completed an Executive MBA from IE Business School between 2010 and 2011. From 2003 to 2004, they studied Computer Engineering at the University of Stuttgart's Institut für Kommunikationsnetze und Rechnersysteme. Miguel obtained a Telecommunications Engineer degree from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid between 1998 and 2004. In 2015 and 2017, they completed a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. In 2018, they obtained a Data Protection Officer Master from EIS Innovative School.
