Hiro Sato

Hiro Sato has diverse work experience in the fields of biosciences and research. Hiro currently works at Persephone Biosciences as a Research Scientist II, a role they have held since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Scientist at Persephone Biosciences from June 2018 to April 2022.

Before joining Persephone Biosciences, Hiro worked at Genomatica as a Senior Research Associate II from December 2010 to July 2017. In this role, they were responsible for designing cloning strategies, optimizing gene expression, and conducting strain modifications. Hiro also contributed to the development of an in-vitro protein synthesis method and gained experience in protein purification and enzyme assays.

From January 2009 to December 2010, Hiro worked at Hologic (Formerly Gen-Probe) as a Research Associate. During this time, they optimized assays for the detection of prostate cancer markers and gained experience in in vitro diagnostic testing.

Hiro's work experience also includes a summer internship at Hologic (Formerly Gen-Probe) in 2008, where they investigated enzymatic activity and stability using RT-PCR. Hiro also had a research associate role at San Diego State University from November 2007 to June 2008.

Additionally, Hiro had a summer internship at Invitrogen in 2007, where they gained experience in genetic engineering, amplification, purification, quantification, and analysis.

Overall, Hiro Sato has a strong background in research, including cloning, gene expression, protein synthesis, and diagnostic testing, and has worked in various organizations within the biosciences field.

Hiro Sato obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from San Diego State University. In September 2021, Hiro also completed the Data Scientist Career Path certification from Codecademy.
