Rebekah Byford

Rebekah Byford is a skilled scientist with extensive experience in analytical services and characterisation. Currently serving as the Interim Group Leader for the Characterisation team at Lonza, Rebekah has previously held roles as a Lead Scientist and Senior Scientist within the same team since September 2019. Prior to joining Lonza, Rebekah completed a PhD at Imperial College London, focusing on Ferritin Nanocages for High Throughput Protein Recognition, and also earned a Master of Research in Chemical Biology from the same institution. Rebekah's earlier experience includes a Sandwich placement at Bristol-Myers Squibb and various roles at Shire Pharmaceuticals, where contributions involved analysis, document management, and database development for clinical operations. Rebekah holds an MChem degree in Chemistry with Biological & Medicinal Chemistry from the University of York.
