Olivia Bloom currently serves as the Executive Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Geron Corporation. Since joining Geron in 1994, Ms. Bloom has held several finance positions of increasing responsibility, including oversight of human resources, investor relations, lab support, purchasing and IT. During her tenure, Geron transitioned from a privately-held biotechnology company to a public one, and from discovery stage to late-stage development with two Phase 3 clinical trials in hematologic malignancies today. Over this time, Ms. Bloom has led and supported multiple equity and debt financings and business collaborations, as well as evolving the internal infrastructure to support the growth and maturity of the company. Prior to Geron, Ms. Bloom started her career in public accounting at KPMG Peat Marwick and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1994. Ms. Bloom graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. She also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Association of Bioscience Financial Officers.
