Amy Gambrel

Amy Gambrel has extensive experience in education, starting as a Long Term Substitute Teacher at Grosse Pointe Public School System in 2007. Amy later joined Chicago Public Schools as a Teacher in 2010 before moving to Perspectives Charter Schools. At Perspectives, they held various roles, including Special Education Teacher, Dean of Specialized Services, Director of Student Supports, Senior Director of Student Supports, and currently serves as the Vice President of Student Supports. Amy'scareer progression demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting students' needs and success.

Amy Gambrel earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Secondary Education and Teaching from Wayne State University in 2007. Amy then obtained a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from DePaul University in 2011. In 2019, they completed the National Special Education Leadership Academy at Relay Graduate School of Education. Additionally, they hold certifications such as the Georgia Standard Professional Teaching Certificate, Illinois Teaching Certificate Type 09 in Social Sciences, and Illinois Teaching Certificate Type 10 in Special Education PK-21.
