Lilia Diaz De Lewis is the Director of Programs at PERTS. Lilia has dedicated their career to educational equity and has a deep understanding of what it takes to build strong leaders in this space.

Prior to joining PERTS, Lilia served as the Director of Talent Development & Inclusion at Leadership for Educational Equity. In this role, they oversaw the organization's talent development initiatives and worked to create a more inclusive culture.

Before their work at Leadership for Educational Equity, Lilia was an Education Pioneers Fellow at Teach For America. As a Fellow, they designed and tested a prototype for streamlined collaboration and community engagement initiatives.

Lilia began their career at 2Revolutions, where they served as an Engagement Manager. In this role, they managed the intersection of all client engagements and developed project management tools and internal resource library to increase efficiency, effectiveness and capacity of project managers and facilitate the organization’s scalability.

Lilia is a passionate advocate for educational equity and has dedicated their career to ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality education.

Lilia Diaz De Lewis has a Master of Arts in Education from New York University with a focus on International Development Education and Urban Education. Lilia also has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley in Chicana/o Studies, Political Science, & Social Welfare.

Their manager is Dave Paunesku, Executive Director & Co-Founder. A direct report to Lilia Diaz De Lewis is and Mitch Harper - Program Associate. They are on a team with Laura Cossey - Director, Operations, Sarah Gripshover - Director, Research, and Erica Bauer - Director, Community Relations.
