Zak Schwarzman

Zak Schwarzman is a General Partner at MetaProp NYC, a venture capital firm specializing in PropTech, since September 2016. In addition to investing in high-growth seed-stage startups, Zak serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor teaching the Venture Capital Seminar at Columbia Business School since January 2023. Zak is also a Kauffman Fellow, involved in a global leadership organization focused on innovation and capital formation since June 2018. Active in multiple advisory roles, Zak holds board positions at Pest Share and Mapped, as well as board observer roles at Advocate Technologies, Join, and Ergeon. Previously, Zak worked as a Principal at Gotham Ventures and served as Chairman of the Board for Manna Project International, an international development nonprofit. Zak holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Political Economy from Tulane University.
