Cyrille Mertes has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Cyrille started their career as a Network & Systems Administrator at iWeb Technologies in 2002. From there, they progressed to the role of Network & Systems Operations Director before becoming the VP IT & Infrastructure at iWeb Technologies in 2007. In this role, they were responsible for the operations of dedicated, colocation, and shared hosting services. Cyrille played a key role in building the company's data centers and managing various aspects of technical operations, including network architecture and system administration.

In 2014, Cyrille joined Internap as the VP of Engineering, where they helped deliver high-performance internet infrastructure services. Cyrille played a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by optimizing data centers and providing reliable hosting solutions.

After leaving Internap, Cyrille joined Fibrenoire in 2017 as the CTO. Cyrille led the technology development for the company and oversaw its operations until 2021.

In 2020, Cyrille worked at Videotron as the VP Engineering Business Services. Cyrille held this position until 2021, where they managed and supervised engineering operations for business services.

Currently, Cyrille holds the position of Vice President of Technology at Petal, starting in September 2021.

Cyrille Mertes has a diverse education history that includes both certifications and degrees in various fields. In 1998, they obtained a DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales) in Electronic from Lycée Georges Baumont. Following this, from 1998 to 2001, they pursued a BAC (Baccalauréat) in Computer Science at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal.

In 2001, Cyrille obtained a certification in MCSE 2000 (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) from Multihexa. The following year, in 2002, they pursued a certification in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) from the same institute. In 2006, they obtained another certification, this time in CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) from Versalys.

Continuing their education, Cyrille pursued a PMP (Project Management Professional) in Project Management from PMI Montreal in 2008. Finally, in 2009, they obtained a certification in LEED Canada Core Concepts & Strategies from Canada Green Building Council.

Throughout their education, Cyrille Mertes has gained a diverse set of skills and knowledge in electronics, computer science, network administration, project management, and sustainable building practices.
