Mathieu Gervais

Mathieu Gervais has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mathieu most recently worked at Petal as a Technical Onboarding and Training Coordinator starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Backend Developer at AX2 Inc. from April 2021 to July 2022.

From June 2020 to April 2021, Mathieu worked as a Senior Backend Developer at Turbulent where they primarily worked on maintenance and modernization projects for Ricardo Cuisine using various technologies such as PHP, Symfony, Laravel, GraphQL, and React.

Before joining Turbulent, Mathieu held multiple roles at Absolunet, including Coordinator for Technical Onboarding, Training, and Support from April 2019 to June 2020, Web R&D Developer from April 2017 to April 2019, and Team Lead/Senior Web Developer from February 2013 to April 2017.

Prior to their time at Absolunet, Mathieu worked for Cyber Génération as a Senior Web Programmer/Analyst from December 2002 to February 2013.

Mathieu also has experience as a Promoter/Musician/Self-Employed at MetalMania Enr. where they developed and managed a webzine for the promotion of Quebec's underground music scene from 1998 to 2003.

Mathieu's earlier experience includes roles as a Webmaster/Contract Programmer at École Polytechnique de Montréal in 2002 and a Web Programmer at Cyber Génération in 2002, where they started as an intern and later secured a contract.

Furthermore, Mathieu has worked as a Manual Handler at NTN Bearing Corporation in 2001 and as a Guest Cultural Columnist at Radio-Canada in April 2001.

Mathieu Gervais completed their secondary education, receiving a DES (Diplôme d'études secondaires) from École Georges-Vanier in Laval from 1995 to 1998. Mathieu then pursued higher education at Collège Ahuntsic from 1999 to 2002, earning a DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales) in Informatique de gestion.

In addition to their formal education, Mathieu Gervais also participated in various conferences and training programs. In 2006, they attended a Formation LAMP program at Savoir-Faire Linux, a Formation ASP.NET program at Technologia, and a Formation Interfaces web enrichies avec AJAX (RIA) program, also at Technologia. Mathieu further undertook a training on Mobilisation d'équipe at Groupe ReGain.

Later on, Mathieu Gervais continued their professional development by attending Confoo Web Techno Conference in 2012 and the Conférence PHP Québec in 2009. Although no degrees were awarded for these events, they highlight their commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in the field.
