Anissa Rashid

Anissa Rashid is a skilled software engineer with experience in data infrastructure, currently holding the position of Software Engineer II at Petal since June 2021. Previously, Anissa served as Creative Director at BARE Magazine from January 2018 to May 2021, where leadership of a 25-member team focused on visual content and brand identity was key. Anissa's research experience includes a role as Data Science Research Assistant with the Women in Tech Initiative at UC, focusing on the impact of policy changes on women and underrepresented minorities in STEM. Anissa's earlier experience as a Data Science Lab Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, involved tutoring students in essential data science concepts. Anissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley, completed in 2021.
